Design Process
Phase 1
The brief by the client is quite straight. They want the ware house looks something different than a typical one. They provided me their plans and other related drawings.
Basically i have to work on the elevations of the front two sides.
As the initial concept i came across with the thought that i will hide the typical roofing outlook which are done by profile sheets. For that i will go for ACP panels to bring the look stand out from the crowd.
I used come brick facades to make the structure be a part of the complex as there are some other structures of brick facades as well.
I want to make the name more visible by changing the acp panel color into red.
As there are two mezzanine floors for the worker, i extended the floor slabs into 5 feet so that it can be used as a balcony as well as it bring the change in the façade.
Phase 2
According to the change by the authority, i have done the revised design.
As the site is located beside the sea, there is a huge force of wind. The acp panels i am using which are anchored by frames cant be resisted against the wind with that much height(almost 20') . So that i have to minimize the height into 10-11'.
